Can I put a suitcase in a cardboard box for shipping?

You can put a suitcase inside a strong cardboard box for shipping. This can add extra protection during transit.

We recommended using a double-walled box that fits your suitcase securely. Fill any empty space with padding to prevent movement. Cover suitcase handles and wheels for extra protection.

Please be sure to accurately measure and weigh your boxes so that you get the correct quote, as placing your suitcase within a box may make it larger and heavier.

Please be sure not to lock your suitcase before placing it in a box, as this will cause delays with the courier and customs (international shipments only), as they will be unable to complete their inspection.

Will my packaging be covered against damage?

The courier does not compensate for damage to packaging (suitcase or box). Use sturdy packaging and avoid fragile or expensive suitcases. If you ship your suitcase inside a box with appropiate packaging and protection then this may be covered by compensation cover subject to our Terms and Conditions.

Can I re-use an old box

Yes, you can reuse old boxes. However, please be sure these boxes do not have any old labels attached or have any warnings attached (for example, battery, liquid, or hazardous material). This will result in your shipment being rejected by the courier, and it will be returned to the collection address.
