Sherpr can collect from most residential and business addresses. However, Sherpr cannot service collection wherein the address is a travel port /or any location that requires pre clearance for gaining access. Examples of these are airports, marinas, train stations, hospitals, and military bases/installations.
As our partner courier’s drivers normally conduct collections independently and have a queue of collections to fulfill within a day, they are unable to leave their vehicles unaccompanied for a prolonged period.
For multi-story/occupancy addresses, we strongly instruct that the shipment be left at the following locations for collection:
Address Type | Collection Area |
Apartment Building |
|
Commercial Building | |
Student Accomodation | |
Hotel | |
School/University | Reception at Residence Hall/Front Desk at Student Center |
It is important that the collection address on your order expressly indicates the actual address the shipment is being collected from. If for example the collection is taking place from a university and your address indicates a library, but the actual location of the shipment is in a residence hall, this will cause issues with collection.
For addresses with no reception desk and no intercom for the sender’s flat/unit, we highly recommend that the shipment be left either with a porter at the entrance of the building, or left with a neighbouring address that allows the driver immediate access for entry.
Please bear in mind that for each collection, the shipment must be labelled with the appropriate shipping documents supplied by Sherpr. More information on where you can locate this paperwork and how this must be attached, can be found in our instructions page.
