Sherpr can accept the following types of packaging for your order:
Boxes
Suitcase
Ski and snowboard bags
Golf bags
Bike boxes
All types of packaging are non-compensatable. This means that if there is cosmetic of functional damage on your packaging, no compensation claim will be offered for damages.
Packaging for your items is extremely important, please always remember that your items will be travelling through an automated courier network with other heavy and large items. They will travel down conveyor belts, change orientation and more. It is extremely important that you take into consideration what may this may affect your contents during transit.
Packaging your items similarly to how you would for a removals van is not suitable for a courier network.
Cardboard Boxes
Please make sure you use strong cardboard double-walled boxes and not single-walled (crisp style) boxes. Please do not use plastic boxes as they are very brittle.
If you are shipping your items in boxes, please ensure that the boxes are strong enough to withstand the weight of the items you are packing. We would highly recommend purchasing double walled cardboard boxes.

Plastic boxes or bags (e.g Ikea or storage bags) should never be sent on our service, these are not suitable for a courier network and will likely be damaged in transit. Please do not strap or sellotape any items together under any circumstance.
Please do not use boxes that have holes for handling, as items may slip off if these are left uncovered.
Suitcases
Sherpr recommends using hard-shell suitcases, with any straps, handles, and wheels removed or tucked in. It is important that any suitcases being shipped are not locked, as per our instructions.

While you can ship holdalls or rucksacks as outer packaging, please bear in mind that any damage to the items shipped in such will be ineligible for any claim. If your suitcase or bag is damaged, these are not covered for damage as these have been used for outer packaging.
Please do not use laundry or storage style bags or plastic bags of any sort. Please note, packaging is not covered by our compensation cover.
Ski and Snowboard Bags
You can send skis and snowboards on our services. They need to be packaged in a suitable travel bag or cases.

Golf Bags
You can send golf bags on our services. They need to be packaged in a suitable golf bag with a hood or in a travel case or box. We recommend using bubble wrap over the heads of each club.

Bike Boxes
Bicycles need to be packaged in a suitable box or in a travel case. We recommend taking your bike to a cycle shop where they can disassemble it and package it for you. Most bikes will need the wheels and handlebars removed to send.

The couriers may collect items in inappropriate packaging. However, this does not mean the packaging would be considered appropriate as the courier assumes you are sending your packages knowing of the potential risk for damage.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the packaging used on your shipment is sufficient for transport, and is in line with our instructions.
